New HP Mini 210 and 5103

New HP Mini 210 and 5103

I personally like HP’s netbooks, the keyboards, the trackpads and price etc.  It would be the first brand I would turn to for a netbook.  They have just released a new Mini 5103 and a refreshed Mini 210 which look just as good as any other.

The refreshed Mini 210, aimed at consumers, has had a redesign.  With 5 colors and a back that integrates the battery (like the older MacBook) but is removable.  It still has the amazing chiclet keyboard, and the trackpad with weird buttons.  It will start at $330 USD ($473 NZD) with a single core Atom CPU (an upgrade to the N550 processor will be available).

The new professional aimed Mini 5103 will be getting a dual-core 1.5GHZ processor, which HP says will improve performance by up to 20% without affecting battery life much.  It will cost $399 USD ($572 NZD) and will include HP’s Day Starter instant-on OS.  Unfortunately there is no Web-OS.  You can view the official photos here.
