It’s finally a day late as the Mozilla Foundation has unveiled the fourth beta of its Firefox browser 4. And by adding two surprises because against all odds, the rival Internet Explorer browser now includes its Sync service, ex-Weave , and the extension Tab Candy Tab renamed Panorama. Mozilla has reworked Personas , which is now an integral part of Firefox.
With Sync, Firefox 4 beta 4 promotes online storage and synchronization with a mobile data such as bookmarks, cache and passwords that you use on your computer. To preserve confidentiality, these elements are encrypted as they pass through the servers of Mozilla from one device to another.
The Overview Tab function allows for its improved tab management , especially when many of them are open. They can be rearranged at will and grouped by “affinity” in a different interface from that of the browser window. Integrating this function remains incomplete, which implies that other beta of Firefox 4 will be available before the release of the final version.
Finally, as expected, Mozilla now has Firefox’s built hardware acceleration to relieve the processor and improve the rendering of 2D animation in Windows Vista and Windows 7.
